"Bman76 (no it doesn't need a WS6 hood) M. Arch" (bman76)

It was like my car took a Xanax, so much more calm. I’m driving to STL/O’Fallon tomorrow and decided that the combination of very worn summer tires and a possibility of rain was no bueno.
Old pic of car on the 16" wheels I just put back on
The 17" x 275 width AutoX tires and wheels love to follow ANY grooves in the road. The last time I drove it in the rain the car was quite a handful, hunting all over and hydroplaning. The 16" x 245s are so much quieter, softer, and more laid back. It turned the whole demeanor of the car back to a highway cruiser.
Also, I bought these all seasons like a month before I put the Summers on, so they’re essentially brand new, with less than 1,000 miles.

I got to do a tour of the UMI shop in PA and I loved seeing all of the shiny new suspension components everywhere. They were hosting an autocross and had some really cool cars they built out on course. Cool guys for sure!

My favorite thing was last year I waited a little long to swap to my snow tires. There was one day in early November where it was around high 30s-low 40s outside and raining heavily. My Miata would not go straight at anything above 50 mph. The car kind of felt like it was floating around and it was really off putting lol. And these tires have plenty of tread left!

It was cold at the start of the last AutoX. I hadn’t driven on those tires truly cold before, the car was a hilarious handful. I spun the rears so much outta the start (and the rest of the course)

They’re pretty much the authority on F-body suspension for AutoX.

Thankfully the last autocross of the season I did was around 50 degrees so it was just warm enough to only have the first run be sketchy. Although it was funny I had to race home and swap on my snow tires that same night because it snowed like 6 inches the next day. First time I ever ran an autocross one day and built a snowman the next day.
